HELP WANTED
By Bill Gass

April 29, 2008
Tuesday

One of the recurring themes in this forum has been the lack of recreational opportunities for young people in Ketchikan. Next week over 200 kids ranging from age 5 to 18 begin play in Ketchikan Little League and we are in need of umpires. Requirements include decent vision, selective hearing and a thick skin. Baseball knowledge is a plus. Compensation consists of a burger, fries, cold beverage and a heartfelt thank you.

Games are scheduled for the month of May on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons. If anyone thinks that they can commit two hours per week please contact Bill Gass (gass@kpunet.net). Here is an opportunity to be part of the solution.
