Ketchikan has always had great competive spirit, from all those state championship basketball teams, the old time Ketchikan town baseball teams, the Ketchikan Rockets basketball squad, to modern day wrestling, volleyball, soccer, and football.

Now we have a new and golden opportunity. You could be a member of the Ketchikan Road Rally Racing Team.

There are a few requirements:

1. You must be a licensed driver.

2. You must have vehicle insurance

3. You must have a street legal vehicle with at least 4 wheels ( conventional car or truck)

4. Finally- You must drive from Shoreline Drive's city end to Herring Cove without hitting any pothole more than 2 inches deep.

Team members will receive a new set of shock absorbers and front end alignment.

So far, no one has qualified in 4 months, and fewer are coming close every day.

Call me for details

PS- The city has provided stationary industrial art near the post office. It's supposed to be a large back-hoe, even has a realistic looking hole with a ladder in it....

PPS- No disrespect to our city workers who can't control the funding or the work they are asked/required to do
