Elected School Board's Decision
By Bobbie McCreary

April 2, 2007
Monday

Dan Williamson said it well. The Ketchikan school board was elected; they took action they felt was required. (And I join Mr. Williamson in being very concerned about the retaliatory comments offered by Mr. Martin at the end of the open session last Wed night. That type of behavior is not acceptable from anyone, and especially not from the top management of our school district.)

Let's not waste time and energy trying to rethink or redo what is already done. Our District needs to move on and get back to work on educating our children and youth.

From an outsider's point of view, I believe the District needs to focus its attention on the future and how best to help our students be prepared for a rapidly changing society and environment. Let's work together towards that accomplishment.
