Forever grateful to residents of Ketchikan
By Sherry Freeman

I am writing in some small way to thank the residents of Ketchikan who have so honored my dear sweet husband, Butch Freeman. Just after the 3 month anniversary of his death, I'm still reeling from losing him but take comfort in his decision to save others. That was so Butch and I'm so proud of him. I have had so many cards, letters and donations from Ketchikan, I feel like you're part of our family. For that, I will be forever grateful.

Butch was always larger than life, and I always told him he was different from everyone else. I saw something so special in him. I am honored to be his wife and look forward to the day I'll see him again. I want to tell him about our two children, Hannah & Nicholas, and I want to see him smile. Butch will always be a part of me and Ketchikan will always be a part of our family. Thank you so much for honoring him and his family. Rest assured he was a special person, amazing father and incredible husband. We are all better for having known him. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being so kind to Butch while he was in your home.

God bless all of you.
