Health Board Not Health Committee

I am an avid reader of the Ketchikan Daily News and appreciate
the newspaper. This morning I read in the "Meetings"
section that the "Health Committee" meets this Wednesday
at 5:30. The Health Board will meet not the Health Committee.
The Health Board is not a committee until the people vote that
it needs to be a committee. The Health Board is elected by the
people and they have a say in who they want to represent their
health matters. If the Health Board is made a committee--the
council "appoints" who they want. That lessens the
power of the people. That is not a good step. Please polish
up your leadership skills. If the native community have a say
in their government it shows democracy in action. I know our
elders would agree!!!
