Please don't poison me!!

By Sally Balch

Tuesday PM

I have lived in Ketchikan most of my life. I live here because we don't live in polluted surroundings and for the most part we have a very clean pristine environment. I'm not a Greenpeace or anything like that, but I am very worried about putting ammonia in our water system. I have several allergies and one of them is ammonia. I can't breath it touch it or have it at all in my home.

If the City of Ketchikan puts this in our water system you will poison me and my family. The health risk is very real to myself and to others who suffer from the same issues. I will not be able to wash my cloths, drink water from my filtered refrigerator or shower in this water.

I ask that the City rethink this action and consider the consequence it will have on folks like me. So again, I beg you not to poison me.

Sincerely,

Sally Balch
