Ketchikan Police Report

(SitNews) Ketchikan, Alaska - Any charges reported in these public records are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.

On 3/8/13 at about 4:47 PM officers arrested WALTER JOHNSTON, 60 years of age of Ketchikan AK, on an outstanding warrant.  He was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center where he was held on $250.00 bail.

On 3/8/13 at about 8:30 PM officers were dispatched to Mission Street on a report that an intoxicated male had call dispatch and reported he was going to do “something bad”.  Upon arriving officers contacted CLIFFORD LERVICK, 48 years of age of Ketchikan AK, who was found to have an open container of alcohol.  He was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center where he was set to be released on his own recognizance.

On 3/9/13 at about 12:21 AM officers conducted a traffic stop on a blue Volvo for speeding on Water Street.  Officer contacted the driver, a 17 year old male, who was found to have marijuana in his possession.  The male was charged with Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Sixth Degree.  The case was referred to Juvenile Probation.

On 3/9/13 at about 1:59 AM officers were dispatched to Mission Street on a report of a fight.  Upon investigation officers arrested LONNIE TAYLOR, 43 years of age of Ketchikan AK, for Assault in the Fourth Degree.  He was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center where he was held on $1,000.00 bail.

On 3/11/13 at about 10:29 AM officers conducted a traffic stop in the 2000 block of Tongass Avenue on a red and black 1985 Ford truck for a minor violation.  Upon investigation officers arrested FLOYD KERVIN, 53 years of age of Ketchikan AK, for Driving While License Revoked and Violation of Conditions of Release.  He was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center where he was held on $500.00 bail.

On 3/11/13 at about 3:45 PM officers went to a Sealevel Drive business and while on the premises smelled a strong odor of marijuana.  The officer was approached by store employees who had also noticed the odor.  The employees asked the officer to assist in   addressing the issue.  Officers contacted ADAM MENGE, 34 years of age of Ketchikan AK, who was found to have marijuana on his person.  He was arrested for Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Sixth Degree and transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center where he was set to be released on his own recognizance.
