Where do the profits go?
By Michael McColley

I wrote a letter recently asking questions about Ketchikan Public Utilities. I did not get an answer.

I read a couple more letters on high rent costs, then single women who find it is hard to pay for utilities. I think the cost for electricity, garbage, and water (which they tell you not to drink, but the they charge you for it) are high. Hummmmm, I wonder who makes the rules?

The public are the ones who own Ketchikan Public Utilities.

When was a audit done? Where are all the public profits??? Go ahead, enlighten me..... There was millions in KPU profits. Does that mean KPU should reduce utilities since the public owns it? Is some one getting into the public trusts money?
