Tsunami Warning Sirens
By Dan McQueen

It seems to me that since we live pretty much at sealeval here in Ketchikan, and most all signs point to more and maybe a lot closer and even bigger earthquakes, we need a better alarm system than the Weather Channel and the TV period!

Ketchikan needs to install some loud warning device like every coastal communities along Washington and west coast coastlines like the old "Air Raid Sirens". The warning that comes across the TV screen won't wake people or even warn them if they are not already watching TV!

It seems to me that there is a chance of a Tsunami when the cruise ships are in port, so maybe the Head-Tax money could be used to install a Early Warning System.
