March for Babies

The March of Dimes March for Babies (WalkAmerica) has taken Ketchikan by storm! Over a long weekend ladies from around Ketchikan gathered at the Ted Ferry Civic Center for the annual Scrap-A-Thon organized by Heather Borch. They raised $3,520.00!

This goes a long way towards the goal of $25,000.00 the walk is trying to generate this year - Renee Schofield, March of Dimes board member, and coordinator of the walk, has even challenged Juneau to meet or beat them!

This is incredible and we are so proud of Ketchikan. Remember the walk is May 10th and starts and ends at the local Alaska and Proud store, another long time supporter of this event.

If you have had a baby in the last 40 years you have been touched by the March of Dimes. See you in May!
