Proposal to relocate the Ketchikan Borough Offices to the Plaza

Dear Sitnews:

We are writing to express our support of Ketchikan Plaza LLC's proposal to relocate the Ketchikan Borough Offices to the Plaza for the following reasons:

  • Accessibility - The Plaza is centrally located in the city and is more conveniently accessible to the residents of Ketchikan than a downtown location. During the peak of tourism season, locals prefer to avoid navigating the downtown congestion.
  • Revitalization - We feel the relocation of Borough Offices to the Plaza will help to revitalize the West end of our community and the businesses located there.
  • Availability - The Plaza is a mixed use facility comprised of retail and service businesses as well as a number of offices, including governmental agencies. The Plaza has plenty of space available to meet the needs of the Borough Offices.

Sincerely,

Robert Nedzwecky
