In an era when blogs and websites start up and disappear in nanoseconds,
Dick Kauffman (and Mary too!) created an online forum that has
lasted for seven years and - God willing - will last many more.
SITNEWS has become indespensible to Ketchikan's greater good
as a forum for ideas and news about Ketchikan. Even more important
is how SITNEWS has tied together Ketchikan's far flung diaspora,
keeping former residents from Germany to Australia to Loring
informationally tied to ye olde muskeg.
Thank you Dick. May all your skies be clear and your airspace
uncongested.
