North Tongass Community Club
By Tony Yeisley

March 21, 2006
Tuesday PM

The North Tongass Community Club Inc., is looking for local volunteers to help with the continuing restoration of the club. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and cannot run certain equipment or work on certain areas of the club unless they are 21 years of age.

We are also looking for persons interested in becoming a member. Individual membership is $20 per person or you can get a family membership for $40 which would cover a two parent household and their children under 18.

The North Tongass Community Club has not been in operation since approximately 1995. Many events take place in the Ketchikan Community and the North Tongass Community Club would like to offer the rental of the club to its members. In the past some events that the club was used for were Cub Scout Events, Girl Scout Events, wedding receptions, awards banquets, family reunions, potlucks, garage sales and more.

It is our goal to re-open the North Tongass Community Club in May of 2006 so our members have available rental facilities north of town. If you are interested in volunteering your time to assist in the restoration or if you are interested in becoming a member you can contact Tony Yeisley at 247-3211 or Theresa Hamilton at 247-7285.

Sincerely,

Tony Yeisley
President
