Solution for litter
by Ken Lewis

There seems to be a litter problem in Ketchikan according to some posts. So I have been working mentally on a solution for clean up.

Maybe the readers can tell me if I am on a path that could be beneficial in multiple ways. I am a coach of the up coming H/S Baseball Kings season. We are chronically looking for ways to raise money for travel and equipment. Here is my concept.

A person sponsors a player, that player is grateful to that sponsor. If that sponsor would like to see a specific place cleaned up near a road side, or for that matter would like a couple strong fine young men to help shovel snow around an elder's home or knock down the berry bushes before free dump week, we do it to show our appreciation of your support.

We need to do it in a way that is not viewed as slave trading; therefore the ballplayer does it because they want to. The sponsor does it because they want to and we have a win-win situation with double solutions. Although I may not let them paint my house, I would let them stain my deck.

We are going global at www.kingsbaseball.net check out the MVP link. Any ideas are welcome. Come out to the park this year and support good play.

Thanks,

Ken Lewis
