Women of Distinction
By Judith Green

February 12, 2013
Tuesday PM

What a beautiful night celebrating the contributions of 4 Women of Distinction in Ketchikan:

Charlotte Glover, children's librarian at KPL

Alma Parker, of Schoenbar Dance Team, DanceMania and Studio Max

Elizabeth Nelson, of First City Players

Tris Nausid, KBGSD reading teacher and tutor: caregiver of orphaned and injured wild animals

They each told their life's story of how their lives began, how they survived and continued. Their beauty being their unpretentious commitment of giving.

Thank you to all the crew of volunteers, donors and event contributors. Beautifully designed programs. Special music provided by  Tears of Fancy and Kevin Locke giving a quiet setting for a beautiful night. Auction items donated. Table settings - simple yet lovely. Menu/meal, delicious and superbly prepared would outshine any chef in Ketchikan. Servers - high school ladies special, each one, with ease and a smile. All the back up support of audio engineering and technical crew.

So many individuals – and especially WISH staff - made this night and all its loveliness possible - thank you.
