Underage Smoking/ Adults who purchase them cigarettes
By Vanessa Ohlson

To those adults (19 years and older- you know who you are!), please do not buy cigarettes for our youth. I have recently become aware that some of our youth are asking "adults" to purchase them cigarettes as they walk into a convenience store or supermarket. "Hey man will you buy me a pack of cigarettes? Here is $10.00 you can keep the change." Please don't do this? Please refuse to purchase cigarettes for our youth. Tell them NO!

Did you know it is illegal? As a mother I don't want my child to die before I do. I am a nonsmoker and would prefer my children to remain nonsmokers. As these youth grow into adults they make their own choices (good, bad or indifferent), please don't help our youth to become addicted to cigarettes.

Please help me as well as every other loving, caring parent by refusing to purchase cigarettes for our youth. Thank you.
