Well said, gentlemen. Once again, Federal (and international) mis-management of Alaska's resources threatens our economy and way of life. Unfortunately, the numbers are not in our favor. Just like herring are at the mercy of whales and international sea lions, Alaskans are at the mercy of Federal and international politics.

Those outside interest will always take what they want until its gone, and then they'll just move on. It really doesn't matter if its big business or big government, it's difficult to make good decisions from the other side of a continent. We need more local input and control.
