Dear Editor,

The following has been submitted to Senator Murkowski this date, 2-8-09. Sending it to the Democrat Senator from Alaska is a "fool's errand".

Regards,
A.M.Johnson

Senator Murkowski,

As you contemplate supporting the "Porkulus" bill that will all but affect our liberties and form of government, the following quote from Alexander Tyler is timely.

First, I anticipate reading of your concession to the Democrats in Congress and joining in this obscene socialist program that does virtually nothing to address a situation that the free market would correct.

What has happened to you? You appear to have lost what little conservative stand on immorality, atheism, socialist indoctrination masquerading as public education, welfare handouts, abortion/infanticide, (Baby Killing). environmental extremism, government dependence, and lack of personal responsibility. you may have held.

I expect a Republican U.S.Senator to defend American's historical way of life, not hand it over to a socialist form of Anti-Christ government in the form of support for this socialist legislation.

Here is the quote from Alexander Tyler:

"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising them the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that a democracy always collapses over a louse fiscal responsibility, always followed by a dictatorship. The average of the world's great civilizations before they decline has been 200 years. These nations have progressed in this sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith; from spiritual faith to great courage; from courage to liberty; from liberty to abundance; from abundance to selfishness; from selfishness to complacency; from complacency to apathy; from apathy to dependency; from dependency back again to bondage." ... Alexander Tyler
