COAST GUARD LOCATES DOOR FROM MISSING BOAT

The Coast Guard located a door from missing pleasure craft Transition today in Frederick Sound on Kupreanof Island.

A helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Sitka located a white door in the water at approximately 11 a.m. and later confirmed it to be part of the boat that has been missing for a week.

The search will continue tomorrow for Mike Dunne and Vern McGee who have not been heard from since Wednesday February 20th. The two were reported to be transiting from Juneau to Ketchikan.
