We would like to thank everyone who came to our aid after we were involved in a car accident on N.T.H. February 23. We wish we could remember the names of all of you, but the whole thing is still a blur. The one thing that stands out in our minds is the quick response of the locals.

Thank you to the nice woman who identified herself as a nurse and asked if she could help us. Thank you to the three men who came up and offered us help. Darrin, thank you for sweeping up the debris and for your comfort. Bill Harney, I will always remember looking across the road and seeing your face as you came over to us. You truly were a light in the dark. Thanks to both you and Deborah for opening your home to us, preparing us tea (made the right way), snacks, warm grain bags, ice packs, comfort, two nice dogs to pet, and a ride home.

Also thank you to the Ketchikan Police Department, State Troopers, Fire Department, EMT's, and the Volunteers who responded.

We are fortunate to live in such a caring community full of people ready and willing to help.

Sincerely,

Ardath (Ardy) and Andrew Piston, and Becky Bentley
