By Reggie Reinhardt

On behalf of the children, board members, and numerous volunteers of Ketchikan Little League, I want to thank Ketchikan Gateway Borough Mayor Williams, Assemblywoman Sarber, Assemblyman Mr. Kiffer, Assemblyman Mr. Landis, Assemblyman Mr. Salazar, Assemblyman Mr. Painter, Assemblyman Mr. Harrington, and Assemblyman Mr. Thompson for your actions on moving forward to obtain a Borough Maintenance facility and getting Borough Maintenance out of the Quonset Hut and off of the old basketball and tennis courts area. Now this area next to Walker Field can be reclaimed and used for its original and intended recreational purpose.

Ketchikan Little League is particularly excited because you kept your promise to the youth of this community with your actions of moving forward on getting Borough Maintenance out of their current location and allowing us to use this area for an Indoor Batting Training Facility. By keeping your promise, Little League and other community organizations we have teamed up with will be able to secure some grants we have in the works along with addition funding for the Indoor Batting Training Facility.

Again I would like to thank Mayor Williams and Assembly Members for their action of getting Borough Maintenance out of a community recreational area. The enthusiasm throughout the Little League community is very high and together we are on our way of once again assisting the Ketchikan youth community with this valuable asset to the athletic program and making the desire for this facility a reality.

Thank you for your actions and commitment to Ketchikan s Youth.

Reggie Reinhardt
