Dear Freeman Family
By Jeff Hendrickson

Dear Freeman Family,

My name is Jeff Hendrickson from Ketchikan Alaska. I am so sorry for your loss. I just wanted to let you know that your entire family is in our prayers and will remain so. We are very appreciative of the ultimate sacrifice that Butch made in his final moments on this Earth. The potential for loss was very great and he minimized that at the expense of his own life. In the bible John 15:13 says "Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends."

Butch definately did this to save the lives of many people in a community where he knew no one. It is amazing when I look at where he put that plane that he managed to pick a small place of isolation in an area where so many lives could have been lost.

Butch is truly a Hero in our community and his sacrifice will never be forgotten.

May the peace of God and the comfort that can only come from Him be with you as you go through this time of grief. Our thoughts, prayers, and heartfelt thanks are with you.

Sincerely,

Jeff Hendrickson and family
