Cold Storage

In response to the opinion of Don Hoff Jr., our governor did not get suckered. What he got was... Informed. If more people with dissenting opinions really listened to what the KCSA had to present as far as facts and figures, there would be fewer dissenting opinions. This project would create jobs, would give most fishermen other options and would boost the economy in Ketchikan as a result.

Swapping some land that has no means of being utilized by other than more "red herring" projects seems a viable use of the resource. How can you Mr. Hoff sit where you are many miles away and have an informed opinion? You must get out and speak to the people.

I once took the time to conduct an interest survey (on my own, paid for by no committee) on the project and found that 90% of the people I talked to thought it to be a good idea.

No they will not be selling jewelry or offering tours to the tourists but they would be making products with Alaskans, using Alaskan resources, and boosting Alaska's economy.
