      Evolution & Recovery

I've enjoyed reading Dave and George's letters on evolution.
I hope they were prompted by my tongue-in-cheek article in Sitnews. If not, I encourage
them to read it for a third perspective.
      Unlike some of the letters
I read on these pages, these were quite civil and their points
were well made. I'm not sure why the gentlemen and gentlewomen
who represent us in Congress can't maintain the same level of
decorum, particularly when preening before the television cameras.

I would also like to extend
my best wishes to Richard (Dick) Kauffman, publisher of Sitnews,
on his recovery from heart surgery. Oh, and if it's not too
politically incorrect, I'd like to add that Richard and Mary
are in our prayers too. We still do that down here in the South,
despite our sometimes arcane views on evolution and creationism.

        - "This textbook contains material on evolution. Evolution
is a theory, not a fact, regarding the origin of living things.
This material should be approached with an open mind, studied
carefully and critically considered." - More...
