Funding for school activities
by Mike Harpold

Mr. Grams,

The school board last October voted to include football and baseball, as well as boy and girl's soccer and softball among those student activities that would be funded by the district. Unfortunately, that action came a little late for football, but football and baseball will be funded to the same extent as all other student activities this year and in the future.

Funding for student activities includes payment of coaches salaries, uniforms and equipment and about $150 per student per trip for travel within Southeast and northern B.C.. That still leaves a lot of money to be raised by parents and booster clubs. We couldn't have these programs without parent and community support. Thank you.
