Mr. Livingston, a FL FairTax® operative, made yet another emotional (i.e., not substantive) appeal for the FairTax® and was deceptive in the process.

His emotional arguments expose the fact that he has not presented substantive materials to support his claims for the FairTax®. That is because all the AFFT has to offer is deceptive propaganda that cannot stand up to analytical criticism. For example, when I illustrated that the FairTax® increased tax welfare (see – http://media.wix.com/ugd/acdb03_c09d69364d4147af82d113eaccf9f1de.pdf ), senior AFFT officials did not make a single criticism of the 7 points I illustrated but could only whine that “we need to give the poor a ladder so that they can climb out of poverty” (translation: more tax welfare).

Mr. Livingston wrote that the FairTax® repeals the 16th Amendment with companion legislation – that is FALSE. It can only be repealed with a Constitutional Amendment and it won’t be. We would wind up with the FairTax® AND a NEW Income Tax - see https://danieljmitchell.wordpress.com/2012/08/11/a-primer-on-the-flat-tax-and-fundamental-tax-reform/
