Two men arrested for alleged grow operation

(SitNews) Ketchikan, Alaska - Alaska State Troopers from the Ketchikan Post responded Tuesday afternoon to a residence in Ketchikan to investigate the report of a disturbance between two adult males. During the investigation, a marijuana grow operation was discovered inside the residence.

The Alaska Bureau of Investigation's Southeast Alaska Cities Against Drugs (SEACAD) task force in Ketchikan responded to the scene and took over the investigation.

The investigation revealed that the residence contained 48 growing marijuana plants, which weighed an aggregate weight of 47 ounces. An additional 96 ounces of processed marijuana was seized from the residence.

According to a news release, multiple counts of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree will be forwarded to the Ketchikan District Attorney's Office for review against the two adult males whose names have not been released.
