(SitNews) Ketchikan, Alaska - The Ketchikan Police announced this week that a Ketchikan woman has been arrested for distribution of methamphetamine and for possession of a firearm during the distribution.

According to information provided by Lieutenant Joe White of the Ketchikan Police Department, the arrest of 29-year old Gennica Spear was the result of an undercover operation which involved multiple sales of narcotics to a confidential informant.

Spear was charged with Misconduct Involving Weapons in the Second degree for the possession of a firearm during the distribution of Methamphetamine, three counts of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree and one count of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree. 

Spear was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center where she was held without bail. Ketchikan Police arrested Spear on January 14, 2013.
