Tongass Highway

In regards to the servicing of Ketchikan's Tongass highway..... the road crews do a very good job considering what they have to work with. If you don't have studded tires on your vehicle then you don't belong on an icy road.

The road while not perfect is very usable if you drive weather appropriate. We live in a wilderness area and have inclement weather. If you don't need to be on the road, stay home.
