Her Light Was So Bright
By Lois Munch

Monday AM

Bright, bubbly, beautiful...and kind. Beautiful inside and out, and genuinely compassionate of humans and critters alike, Kelly Nausid touched many during her short life. Her ever present smile was infectious, and she was just plain fun to be around. Her zest for life was equally obvious when she waited tables at Salmon Falls during college summers or when encountered on the street. Even the briefest conversation was delightful.

How she loved her family! Kelly proclaimed her feelings for her parents, Doug and Tris, and younger brother, Ty, on her MySpace page as "the most amazing people in my life." She calls Ty her inspiration.

Kelly, a recent graduate of the University of Hawaii, was part of an elite journalism program. She decided to become the next hot chick reporting for Fox Sports. With her athletic background, and because she just oozed with self confidence and abilities, certainly we would have been watching her with pride in the near future.

Finding meaning in these kinds of tragedies is difficult. But, because Kelly's light was so bright, our night sky will sparkle more through her memories.

Sincerely,

Lois Munch
