This is an invitation to the Mural Unveiling and the Renovation Celebration at the Ketchikan Campus this weekend.

Mary Ida Henrikson taught Mural: History, Function and Execution fall semester. The three-panel mural, which will hang in the UAS Library, was designed and painted by the whole class. Very few people have seen the completed work; it s been a closely guarded secret but the mural will be unveiled Friday, January 26 at 6pm at the Library at 2600 Seventh Avenue. The public is invited to attend.

The Renovation Celebration is the next day at 2pm. The Ziegler and Paul Buildings have been remodeled over the past year. The Ziegler Building will house the Library, Learning Center and the business office which will be a one-stop location for registration, books, and information. There will be additional classroom space in the Paul Building and a new student lounge.

That event starts at 2 Saturday, January 27. After a brief welcome from Campus Director Cathy LeCompte, former Representative Bill Williams and UAS Chancellor John Pugh will speak. There will be tours of the buildings and door prizes.
