Major Freeman
By Ted B. Grant

January 31, 2006
Tuesday

Major Steve Freeman was a friend and I considered him a brother. I remember the first day my Dad and I took Steve "Butch" flying out of Huntsville General Aviation in our Piper Turbo Arrow. That day was special and it was the many trips that we all took together that fueled Butch's interest in flying. We spent plenty of time together and he surely impacted my life.

I lost touch with Butch through my twenties, but was fortunite to have been able to reunite with him in San Diego. For the many people he sacrificed his life for, say a prayer for our fallen hero.

Butch - I will miss you.

Your Friend,

Ted B. Grant
