Ice Foam, Firefighting, KGH Employee of the Month

I wanted to thank Paul Perry for his "Ice Foam" photos. He solved for me the mystery of what I thought was Styrofoam floating in Herring Cove Creek. Now I know it's ice! His photo and information were very educational and interesting.

I really enjoyed the story and photos by Dave Hull about the final testing day. Hats off to all the fire department volunteers in our community!

Last but certainly not least, I wanted to say congratulations to Candy Hatfield for being chosen as KGH Employee of the Month. Candy has been a dedicated volunteer in our community for many years. While she was working at Community Connections, she volunteered as a EMT and attended college to get her nursing degree. We are very fortunate to have Candy in our community. If you see her, I hope you will join me in telling her thank you for her continued service to our community.
