Thank you to the USCG

I would like to take a moment to thank the US Coast Guard for all of their community participation over the last year. As we watched the boat parade the week before Christmas, we were so thrilled and entertained by the light display that the Coast Guard presented. It was obvious that many man hours were put into the holiday decorations - and I was told that it was private personal funds that bought all those lights!

Also, there is not enough thanks to give when it comes to Halloween. I stood on the dock with the hundreds of people, canned food in hand, and listened to the screaming and laughter from within the ship. The coast guard puts so much effort into the haunted ship, and it's something that we all look forward to, not just the kids.

So, thank you to the US Coast Guard - not only for protecting our waterways, maintaining safety on the ocean, putting yourselves in harms way when we need you - but also for being good citizens of this community. Your time and efforts do not go unnoticed.

Sincerely,
Shauna Lee and Daughters
