Knowles for Governor

Dear Editor,
I like Tony Knowles plans for the University of Alaska. He intends
to expand technical and vocational programs to build a skilled
Alaska labor force to work on the pipeline and other projects
in the state.
The University Scholars program has been a success. His goal
is to expand that program so more Alaska students can stay in
the state for college. He wants to establish a need-based scholarship
program and to partner with high schools to increase college
readiness.
I also applaud his support for the Swan Lake intertie project.
Right now we use all our available power. Reliable, inexpensive
power is essential to attract new business and industry.
I support Tony Knowles for Governor and I hope you will as well.
