Vote No on Consolidation

Vote NO for consolidation in City of Ketchikan and Ketchikan
Gateway Borough governments. The vote on consolidation has always
failed in past for good reason. City of Ketchikan can not provide
many of the services to the Borough residents and the Borough
residents don't want to pay for library and museums they can't
use. City of Ketchikan can't provide any fire protection, police
protection, garbage service, water and sewer. People live out
in country for a reason. To get far away from government interference
and for privacy.
The consolidation vote takes
a majority votes from the city residents and the borough residents.
The borough residents always voted consolidation of both governments
down in past consolidation vote. Vote no on consolidation.
I would vote to vote out all
the incumbents that are running for re-election from the Borough
government and City of Ketchikan government. They are responsible
for all your problems. Bridge to nowhere, Annexation of Hyder
and Meyers Chuck, Alaska, Ward
Cove LPK, Ward Cove Cannery. This is your present elected officials
are running you to the poor house. Ketchikan should be worrying
about providing essential services for their electors. I see
a bunch of manager type people running your government that can
not make any decisions and could not make a good decision if
they tripped over one.
Ketchikan needs Leaders not
indecisive business managers. Look for leadership qualities in
your new candidates running in this election and vote them in.
Vote No for consolidation and
vote out all the incumbents running for City or Borough government.
This is my own opinion.
