First City Republican Women's
Club announces community educational series
focusing on increasing local women's involvement in politics.

Ketchikan, AK - The First City Republican Women's Club will host
a series of educational meetings in Ketchikan on the Republican
Party platform and to promote the involvement of citizens in
the political process. Locations, dates and times of the upcoming
meetings are as follows:
FEBRUARY 28: LOCAL POLITICS WITH SUSAN STONE,
President, District 1 Republicans: Susan will present the organization
and structure of State House District 1 and the opportunities
to get involved in local precinct politics. Learn, also, about
District 1's convention on March 11, without the pressure!
Location: Annabelle's Restaurant
Time: 1:30-3:00 pm
Cost: $11.00 for tea, coffee and desserts
MARCH 22: STATE-WIDE POLITICS WITH PAULETTE
SIMPSON, Vice-President, Southeast, Alaska Federation of Republican
Women and Vice-chair of the Republican Party of Alaska: Paulette
will discuss the Republican Party platform, the State-wide GOP
organization, geographical districts and representation; a perfect
way to hear about the State-wide Republican convention in May
in Kenai.
Location: Narrows Restaurant
Time: 5:00 - 7:00 pm

APRIL 17: NATIONAL POLITICS WITH ANGELA FAULKNER,
President, Faulkner Strategies, Granger, Indiana: Angela is a
nationally known speaker and consultant who specializes in grassroots
politics.
Session 1: Overview of the "72 Hour Task
Force" is a fun and exciting spin on traditional politics
for those of us without a lot of time or money!
Location: Cape Fox Lodge
Time: 9:30 11:30 am
Session 2: Message Development and Delivery:
Targeting for Victory. Ever consider running for local office?
Ever wanted to help a friend out but didn't have a clue about
what to do? This is the workshop for you! Learn how to package
your message in a way that not only speaks to voters, but motivates
them to vote for your candidate on Election Day!
Location: Cape Fox Lodge
Time: 2:00 - 4:00 pm
Session 3: Grassroots Politics; Getting back
to the basics. Grassroots politics: What does it mean? How can
YOU make a difference on National, state, and local political
races? Plus, get the inside scoop on the Presidential race and
how we can get involvedand make a difference! Dessert and Coffee
will be served.
Location: Cape Fox Lodge
Time: 7:00 - 9:00 pm
