Snow advice
By Bonnie Sullivan

This letter is for Jessica and for the other drivers in Ketchikan that would rather be safe than intimidated! I am still absolutely appalled that there are drivers in this town, or any other, that feel "put out" that there are a handful of drivers that take their time driving in dangerous conditions.

In my opinion no job, appointment or scheduled event is more important than saving our own and our children's lives. My daughter crashed her car because she was more worried about the car behind her several years ago .and since then I have stressed in my children's driving lessons that if our weather conditions dictate a slower pace...do it! If the idiot behind you feels like his/her vehicle can handle the icy road--tough!

So Jessica, I am sorry for your ordeal and thank you for speaking up. And, for the irritated driver, road rage is a serious problem; maybe you should consider counseling. You certainly owe Jessica an apology.
