Governor Announces Conference of Alaskans

At a press conference in the State Capitol on Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2004, Gov. Frank Murkowski tells reporters that the Conference of Alaskans is his effort to allow Alaskans to decide whether to use a portion of Permanent FUnd income to support essential state services. To his left are conference Chair Mike Burns, and conference convenors Arlis Sturgulewski, Clark Gruening, and Steve Frank.
